Ginger, Honey & Lemon Tea

A potent antioxidant rich drink to help soothe a sore throat and ease congestion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cm fresh ginger sliced or grated
  • 1 cup water
  • ΒΌ cup lemon juice freshly squeezed (roughly the juice of one lemon)
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Add water and ginger to a pot and heat for up to 5 minutes until it reaches a gentle simmer.
  • Add honey and lemon and stir well until dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. You can remove the ginger pieces carefully with a spoon or strain if desired.

Notes

I intentionally made this tea on the stronger side. You may like to dilute it with some extra warm water.
